APPLICATION PROCESS

Our Housing currently falls into these categories:

• ~Currently a citizen residing in the Okanagan.
• ~SENIOR UNIT: You or your spouse must be 55 years of age or older.
• ~FAMILY UNIT: You must have dependent children (under 19 yrs old) or Infirm dependent children (over 18 yrs old) living with you and have at least 40% custody.
• ~MODIFIED UNIT: you or your spouse must be 45 yrs or older, and require the use of a wheelchair or walker.
• ~WOMEN'S SHORT TERM UNIT: You must be 19 yrs of age or older and be drug and alcohol addiction free for 6 months.  No males over 12 yrs old.

We do NOT provide: Emergency Housing / Supportive Housing / Assisted Living / Transfers from locations outside of the Okanagan.

~To Update your application with the Registry: 

• By phone: Call The Housing Registry Inquiry Line at 604-433-2218, or 1-800-257-7756 outside the Lower Mainland.
• By fax: Fax a letter with your name, file number, previous information, and new information to The Housing Registry at 604-439-4729.
• By mail: Mail a letter with your name, file number, previous information, and new information to The Housing Registry at:
  BC Housing Home Office, 101-4555 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC  V5H 4V8. Office hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm.
• In person: Letters can also be dropped off at your regional BC Housing office in Penticton.
