Apple Valley Building II at the end of October 2016:
Construction started in late summer 2015, but we are now on the home stretch! The project will be complete by late 2016. We are looking forward to welcoming our new residents to this site in January 2017.
Apple Valley Building II will provide 78 new units of senior's rental housing. The building provides one bedroom units, two bedroom units and barrier free wheel chair units. Each person living in the new building will also become a member of the Ziglar Recreation and Senior Support Centre. This is located in building I. This centre will be the social and recreational hub of the site. There are well appointed meeting rooms, a common kitchen and the Apple Valley bowling lanes.
This project is a blended project. This means some units will be rented at Low end of market rates and some units will be rented at reduced rental rates. All units will qualify for the S.A.F.E.R. subsidy for seniors. This Provincial rental subsidy is available to all qualifying seniors. The amount of the subsidy depends on the income level of the applicant. For more information please go to the BC Housing web site.
Anyone interested in applying for housing with the Society of Hope please download an application form from this web site. These completed application forms can be delivered to the Hope office at #101-2055 Benvoulin Court.
